In recognition of the growing public outcry around systemic racism and police violence, TNE posted a call-to-action statement last month about our commitment to anti-racism, social justice and equity for all people.

TNE’s core values – self-awareness, integrity, transparency, personal transformation, commitment to working out differences, and generosity of spirit – create a community in which all are welcome and included. We reinforce this commitment as an organization of individuals who are striving to learn behavior that fosters inclusion and equity, and unlearn systems of exclusion and bias that privilege some to the exclusion of many.

Here are some specific actions that TNE is taking to support structural change:

Financial Support

While there are many excellent groups working on the forefront of these issues, we identified four key organizations to which we are making donations:

Scholarships

TNE has offered scholarships for many years, giving priority to people with financial need who will bring diversity to our teaching community. TNE is attracting a more diverse audience than ever and is intentionally offering more scholarships to persons of color as we nurture the next generation of Certified Narrative Enneagram Teachers and Practitioners.

August Webinars

I’m excited to announce that TNE will present two live webinars on August 4 and 18 designed to facilitate personal responsibility and structural change. We hope that you will join us for these important conversations:

Clearing the Pathway for Healing and Policing in America

Tuesday, August 4, 10 am Pacific
A 90-minute webinar presented by Mike Alexander and hosted by Evan Barbee

In the wake of recent events, America as a nation is undergoing swift and profound change. While many hope for a brighter future, the present moment reveals the polarization in this country. The Enneagram provides a bridge to span – and ultimately heal – these deep divides. We invite anyone who would like to foster a broader understanding of the very complex issues surrounding policing in America or may be interested in how the Enneagram can be used to affect great change in meaningful ways.  Learn more >

The Enneagram and Mindfulness for Social Change

Monday, August 18, 10 am Pacific

Black Lives Matter. How do we create the world in which we want to live?
